UJAMAA Business Network is a community of entrepreneurs empowered by the practice of cooperative economics. We combine knowledge, skills, and resources to support and grow business in disenfranchised communities throughout Wisconsin, focusing on Black-owned businesses.
BYAYA! (Black Youth & Young Adults) provides crucial support to self-identifying Black youth and young adults between 10 – 26. Through innovative programs, peer led outreach, free employment skills and professional development training we help our future leaders discover their purpose and path to wellness.
The Lived Experience Empowerment Council focuses on empowering and uplifting the voice and experiences of people dealing with challenges rooted in the social determinants of health. Through collaborative learning and a supportive trauma-informed community, we help empower members to advocate for change.

Driven by her passion for positive social change and thriving, healthy communities of color, Tara Wilhelmi enjoys acting as a connector and seed planter as she collaborates with folks throughout Wisconsin on impactful projects. She is a Certified Peer Specialist (CPS), Certified Parent Peer Specialist (CPPS), and state trainer of Certified Peer Specialists.
