About Dominque Christian, Key Partner, UJAMAA
Qiana Holmes-Abanukam is the founder of Village Girl Boutique and an Education Coordinator. Village Girl Boutique is dedicated to offering high quality, affordable authentic African inspired, ready to wear bold fabrics and jewelry for women. Qiana is also an educator, advocate and bridge builder. She spends her days advocating for equity in the schools for underserved families; while connecting them to their communities. By night, she shares her love of bold African fabrics and accessories. She started her business in 2018 after several trips abroad and a trip to an African market. She enjoys sharing the rich beauty she experiences in African textiles. She has over 12 years experience working in educational settings, providing crisis intervention and community case management. She is a UW Whitewater graduate of Social Work. She is a part time Odyssey instructor. She is a current UpStart and YMCA Amplify Madison participant; as well as a proud mother of two adult son’s.
